53 Studebaker in Havana

Last week I got to spend a week in Cuba with a tour group exploring cars, culture and people. We were riding off in a 55 Dodge convertible when I spotted this 53 Studebaker and although we did not stop, I was able to grab a snapshot. I'm not sure what engine was in this rig, as most 50s American cars have some sort of diesel. Saw hundreds of GM, Ford and Chrysler products, but only three Studebakers, this one, a 40s coupe and a bullet nose. Was a great trip and a great opportunity to see Cuba and socialism in action.
