  • More clean up (now in the STP business)

The other day Bob Barrick (2R5) posted a comment about my STP can collection. I hunted around and rounded up most of the Studebaker ones I have (I later found 2 more) and took a picture. Sorry for the poor quality, but I am not doing it again. [xx(] Don't tell my wife that one leaked on her carpet (as seen at the bottom of the picture). [B)]

[Edit] Before Studegary corrects me, the Auto Blitz cans were manufactured by Chemical Compounds and are pre Studebaker. I was just too lazy to remove them from the rack before taking the picture.

        Nice collection, Gary.
The 20-20 vision of hindsight. In the 1960s, I just missed on the parts stock at a local Studebaker dealership, but was able to get a couple of signs (had to remove them from the roof myself). I passed on one of those "German...STP" counter displays. I thought, Who would want that?.
When I moved in 1991, I left a whole original carton of unused, old STP cans in the basement because some had started to leak.
Oh well, win some - lose some.

Gary, you are WAY over your limit [V]. I can see a can or two on the workbench to add a little ambiance, but you're now into excessive compulsive [:0]

                Dick,

That may be true, but the way these cans and racks are going they were probably a better investment than any full size Studebaker I have bought. I don't think I paid much over $40 for any of the full size racks and anywhere from $5 on up for the cans. I only paid $10 for the gas treatment rack, one sold on e-Bay last week with early '70's cans for over $200! [:0]

                        Bob,

Is that an offer to sell? I do have 4 Studebaker Gas Treatment cans in the rack now.

                        Gary

Gary...I also have one of those racks...had this case along time and intended on putting the cans in my rack but I've always figured there is more value keeping them in the sealed box....so my rack has never quite got filled
