  • Dennis Lambert suffered a stroke

From a longtime friend of Dennis-
Dennis Lambert had a serious stroke about a week ago. He has been in the
hospital but this AM was transferred to a Rehab facility. It's too early
for any prognosis or recovery predictions. Studebakerdom owes Dennis a
huge debt of gratitude. Without his efforts to save and make available
parts to keep our Studies on the road, there would be many many fewer out
there today. Dennis also has been a huge source of information and advice
that he would share without hesitation to anyone.

OUCH. All the best, Dennis. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

Really sad news. Many of us are still driving Studebakers today because Dennis made the effort to save a huge stockpile of parts that had very little economic value. As Paul notes, he also was an invaluable resource for information, history, and Studebaker lore. Get well Dennis.

My thoughts, good wishes and prayers go out to Denise and family as well as Dennis.

There is absolutely no doubt that just as Paul said, we do owe a big debt of gratitude to Dennis for saving all those parts all those years and not trying to get rich off of it.

I have been buying Parts from him for way longer than after he bought the Parts, back to his days as Manager of Newman and Altman, Standard Surplus.

Sorry to hear that! I had excellent dealings with Dennis back in the 1980's through to the early 2000's in the old N&A days.

Thanks to Dennis for allowing me access to production orders during the years I was doing research in them. We now have a lot of statistical information about 1963/1964 Studebakers (including Canadian cars) we would not have had without Dennis' helpfulness.

All the best, Dennis; get well soon.

From someone who had a minor stroke, I wish Dennis well. It's scary when you realize what is happening. Dennis I wish you well and hope the rehab goes better than expected...
