  • 56 Wagon "Chopped" n "Dropped" New Pictures

    Mike VanV and Jeff Sholtz,
Well, this is something that I've been waiting a long time for. I have some pictures of the before and after, but I'll post them once it gets put back together a little bit more. It'll come out of the fab shop tomorrow, then the windshield goes in and the new side glass. I know this is a bit of a tease, but I wanted to give a few folks here a "heads up".
I'm so tickled about this car, I can hardly tell you all.
One thing I can say is that the change is remarkable. I love it. Enough teasing... now the waiting starts.

          Hey Sal -

Be sure you have some bare/as welded shots.
I like to see the details too..!

Sorry, it may be too late for that. I've been sooo busy with work, I've not been able to watch the details as much as I would have liked. I had a shop do this. I was not confident enough in my abilities to be sure the fit was right. So far, though it looks fantastic.

                  Lark roof, Sal?

You nailed the look... I'd almost trade my Studillac for a wagon that cool. (Almost..!)

Yeah, 59 2 door Wagon Lark roof. All stock. 60 Lark 2 door wagon side glass. I've been contemplating this change for years. My business has been so crazy, plus building a new house, plus having number 15 Grandchild here. WOW. Time does tend to get away from me. Now I need to pull the gas tank and get the engine running again.

                        Sweet...
The Lark wagon roof took an inch out all by itself!
What did you do/use for the windshield?

                              Hi

Looks good, how much height did you remove in the change?
