It is interesting in this Ebay offering that the lister
states that these buckles were also used on Porsche and
Mercedes cars.
Google , hickok seat belts and you find this to be true

Perhaps even more interestingly, the company was owned by relatives of Wild Bill Hickok. Think about that the next time you strap into your Avanti, 356, or SL.

I think Mopar used them too. And Jaguar E types........

Hickok made lots of seat belts and different buckles but the ones with the recessed area for the label were correct for Studebaker, Porsche and Mercedes.
None of the repops have this recessed area.
