I think I encountered his brother today, he wants $5000 for $50.00 worth of chainsaws. Then again, if it was made in the mid fifties rather than the late forties it may well be worth his price...

yeah, i think he was doing a little "time tripping" as well...

The photos posted are not of a mid-fifties Champion.
The seller couldn't photograph the actual mid-fifties Champion because there were too many trees and bushes growing around and through it.sigpic

Bez believes the bumper bar from a '47 Champion was used for the Packard Hawks. I tried to get Anne Goodman to check this out, since (for a while) she had both--a '47 Champion, and Packard Hawk parts, including the front bumper.
'Course the car pictured is a '48, but who cares...I believe that other than different bolt holes, the bar is the same.KURTRUK
