Anyone have any ideas on how to secure my Stude hubcaps to my hotrod steel Ford pattern wheels? I have a set of perfect original wheels and tires ( 4 lug pattern) with the clips for the hubcaps, but I don't want to destroy these wheels.

Not sure if the '41 Champion hubcaps were attached with the clips that fit into narrow rectangular slots or not?? If they are, you can duplicate the slot pattern on the non-Studebaker wheels and drill/file the slots into the wheels. I did this on some Chevy wheels to use Champ truck hubcaps. Not real hard to do.
