(Autocorrect tried to make the title "Lemmings". Hope it doesn't come to that.)
The Great Race stopped in Santa Fe yesterday (Tuesday) for the night, and the organizers had the cars park around the Plaza downtown. The wife and I went down to see what was up. Quite a variety of vehicles up to MY 1972.
There are 2 Studebakers participating - a '55 President and a '64 Lark-type. Unfortunately did not see the owners to chat. Also saw 3 Packards, all 120 2-doors IIRC.
Oldest cars were a '16-or-so Hudson straight-8 Pikes Peak racer and a '16 Peerless V-8 (also a racer). There is also a strong Japanese contingent (several Nissan Figaros and a Toyota 2000GT). Also impressive was a Continental Mk II. Oddest is perhaps a Dodge Power Wagon set up as a wrecker.
