  • Longshot? Rockne air cleaner from 32 Plymouth PB?

I would like to get the air cleaner on my Rockne (haven't had one in decades). It is Type A, part# 176257 for Model 31 by AC.

ID:	1747103There is a fellow who has one but it is currently on his 1932 Plymouth PB. He will trade if I can find the correct one for his PB. Right now on Ebay is a complete air filter/silencer assembly for the PB but way beyond the price I would consider just for my filter. Anybody out there able to help me with just the correct filter, for his or mine?

This is what he needs.Click image for larger version

What is the price they were asking for the Plymouth PB air cleaner?
My Packard was missing its air cleaner when I found it. Was astonished the price venders were asking for a replacement!
Usual asking price $500. And up. I understand they are rare and for a supercharged car but...Wow!
Lucky for me found one in a car parts yard sale at a former collectors house for $50.
My eyes were certainly opened to the market of antique car air cleaners!

        Like I said, Wow!
I wouldn't have believed the prices asked for air cleaners until I got involved with my Packard.

          Brad,

Hop over to the AACA forum and PM keiser31, he may be able to help. They also have a Plymouth subforum, you may want to try posting there.

Fascinating parts. There are some diy options on the following, for just filters I usually go to AEM: http://www.aemintakes.com/search/univcone.aspx
