  • 1937 Dictator for $6500 on Minneapolis C/L

Looks like a good original car. I can't believe the seller says it would make a nice hot rod. It would make a much nicer survivor or restored Studebaker.

Then you should buy it and do that with it.

I already own a 1937 Dictator 4 door, and don't have room for another.

Nice find. Looks close to being driveable. Minnesota Street Rod plates?

          Darned right he's not wrong.

Here's an example of a similar style car of that era already rodded.

There is a nice restored 37 Dictator on ebay right now. Its located in Calgary. The owner spent 10 years restoring it and completed it then died. The seller said I could have it for $10,000 Canadian which is about $8000 U.S. I was going to buy it but auto shippers want batteries easy to get to in case they have to jump start a dead battery, The battery is under drivers seat on the Dictator . To
my American friends....there is a lot of paper work. You will need a broker. The seller does not know much about vintage cars. He did not know if car had overdrive or a hill holder.

                  N.G.,

Looked for it but couldn't find it. Is it listed on the Calgary CL or is it listed on another CL but located in Calgary?

It's on ebay, just do a search for 1937 Studebaker.

You might have to put in (-fits) to weed out all the crap people use the "Studebaker" name to advertise.
