  • plant protection badges

I asked this question to a few folks at the May meet and nobody seemed to know the answer. Studebaker had their Plant Protection department, and they also had their own Fire Department. All plant guards were issued badges that said Plant Protection across the top and Studebaker along the bottom with the State Seal of Indiana in the center. My question is did Studebaker's firemen have different badges than the guards? If so, what did they look like?

    Chris,
I also have a Plant Protection Badge #484 with the original hat. The nearest I can come to your question is I have an image of a green & red badge with Studebaker at the top & Packard Corporation at the lower edge. It has Rescue Squad in the centre. If you wish I will send an image via mail to your PC.

Yes I'd like to see a photo of that.

Those are regular plant protection security badges. What I'm trying to find is if Studebaker firefighters used different badges than the ones that said Plant Protection, or did they get issued the same ones?
