my dad and I had a weekend planned - the plans changed a couple times - but we got together anyway to work on his "new" 55. Here are some teaser pics - there are a total of 29 at: http://www.teamwetworks.com/claymore/gallery/main.php/v/55/?g2_page=3

Its not really apparent, but the engine was covered in detritus. When this picture was taken, they entire engine valley was FILLED and the distributor surrounded with straw and crap.

Here he is trying to figure out how to patch the floor.

Last shot for now...here's the dash

He's got some work ahead of him, but we don't think it is out of reach - there is a cruising mobile in his future!

Neat that you get to work with your dad on a project car. Even tho my dad lived to be 84, we never really worked on a car together.[V]

Yes, we worked on my cars when I was a kid. Now we are almost 5 hours apart - AND winter is almost here. He restored the 53 that he had well before I was born after he retired. I hope to pick up a decent Stude sometime and we can share that, too, even though we are a bit apart. Oh, I hope to bring my kids into it, too :)

I hadn't expected all my dirty laundry to be posted on the web, but I guess it's OK.

I learned how to wire weld today, that gapping hole in the floor is now (not watertight) but covered.

One (the only one we tried) brake drum is stuck fast, guess I need a wheel puller. (Two others are frozen, one free)
