Makes a bit more sense. Almost anyone serious can raise the 7k. but how many persons are likely to have 7k worth of lumber just lying around for a trade?
I mean, for a private individual I have accumulated one hell of a stash of lumber, but few places outside of an actual lumberyard are going to have 7k worth of usable lumber just laying around, and on top of that waiting to trade it for a Studebaker.
Be far better off to accept money and use it to purchase the exact sizes and lengths that are contemplated as being needed to build the desired structure with, rather than trading for a random pile of mixed lumber where perhaps 50% or more will be the wrong sizes and lengths.
