  • Transmission / Overdrive: shift linkage

I have a 1963 Champ with a 3speed column shift. All of the grommets are gone or ripped and the linkage is very loose. I checked on Studebaker International and didnt find any. Can someone tell me what they are called and where to get some. Part# ?????? ARGH!!!

    Thanks Jeff

    Welcome.

Pg. 243 S.I. Catalog, Studebaker Part Number 197565 Trans. Shift Lever Grommet (2) per Transmission.

From Studebaker 8E Truck Parts Catalog: 1551556 Insulator, shift levers on Column (2) at Studebaker Vendors at: http://studebakervendors.com.

The egg shaped holes in the shift rods and or levers can be welded up and re-drilled.

Membership in the Studebaker Drivers Club with the Monthly Publication "Turning Wheels", will end your frustration looking for Parts.
