I recently came across a copy of the April 1907 issue of Recreation magazine. The Motoring section included a photo of "Col. Studebaker" with some of the other major figures in automobile manufacturing. I'll be posting this to my Flickr photostream as well and including it in the Studebaker - Different by Design group. Well Dave, at least there's sufficient passengers that they can cover the vehicle with a tarp and ring the bell so that no horses will be frightened by their vehicle. Yes, that was required by law at one time. However they stopped the requirement of tarping the vehicle as it seemed to frighten the horses even more.
