  • Studebaker sighting

Heading south on 69 in Oklahoma this morning we saw at least 3 Studebakers parked in a yard near Eufaula . One was a 55 sedan , a 56 GH and a GT Hawk , all were most likely parts cars . Anyone on here the owner?

Most likely Stude vendor Joe Mitchell. Saw him at the Shawnee, OK swap meet a couple of weeks ago.

He had an of auction of Stude stuff last year, and is planning another soon.

How long are you going to be in Oklahoma?

I saw the same cars 2 weeks ago as I drove thru in an ice/snow storm. Bout wrenched my neck as I looked at the Air Force blue 56J. Of course at 30mph on ice I had a little more time to look. But no time to stop.....

Traveling south on 277 between Holbrook and Heber Az, last Thursday, was passed by a auto transport that had a 55 Commander on board. As he passed, the wife yelled "there is a Studebaker ". Caught him at a brake check . He picked it up in northern Il. and was delivering it in Phoenix. It was yellow. Where he picked it up, said the person had a lot of Studebakers and was going to have a auction.
