  • Studebaker Dreaming!

Very interesting three page article with many photos in the May 'Hemmings Classic Car' concerning Studebakers that never were....(mid to late sixties design proposals)

I like the GT Hawk 'Sport' four door sedan for '69 or '70!

I enjoyed that article very much, too. It is always nice to dream "What if...". I think Studebaker left us on a high note with the luxurious '66s.

I found the one side-view of the 4-door sedan at the top of the 3rd page of the article to be very similar in the greenhouse area to the large Mercedes sedans of that period. Can't help but think that the similarity was purposeful.

Studebaker is certainly receiving excellent coverage on an ongoing basis from Hemmings Classic Car. Whenever you see Bob Palma be sure to thank him for his obvious influence. The pictures of the Studebakers that never were brought back a lot of memories that will not be forgotten.

I haven't seen the May issue yet. I suspect that 'Hawk sedan' must be this one in Post 97 here: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...ight=june+1990

And many may remember Bob Marcks' presentation at Glendale in 2010: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...ghlight=marcks
