  • Windshield Identification

Does anyone have a listing of the Pittsburgh auto glass numbers for the various Studebaker windshields? or a chart of some sort to ID them??

I have some windshields which I did not mark and assumed I would remember what they came out of. Amazing how that memory can fade over time

    Thanks

Have you EVER seen a Windshield with the Mfg. Part number in the watermark? All the Originals I have seen only show the DOT spec. and Mfg. name LOF or PPG and if Tinted the tint name Solex etc. and off shore ones not even that!

I think you would have to give us Pictures or dimensions.

There is a NAGS number on most glass I think it stands for National Auto Glass Soociety. or something like that. Anyways, most glass shops have a number lookup database.

Thanks. they do have WAGS numbers on them, some in the bottom center and some on either side bottom. I use to have a 55 Wags book which I cannot find currently. The glass I was working with was all from the 60's so the book would not do me any good. I did use it years back to identify a stack of glass that came out of a studebaker dealership. I identified the stuff I was working with currently all by looking at dealer postcards.
