    Hello

I have the following question: Should the supercharger pulley for a 57 GH be painted in black or turquoise?

Thank you very much and have a nice weekend.

The whole blower was black. With a Studebaker specific emblem cover for the solenoid.

Actually, if you really want your engine to look authentic, the factory painters usually left traces of '57 turquoise' overspray on the front half of the black supercharger pulley, as well as lower areas of the black supercharger case itself....Picky, but that's really how your engine looked when it left the Studebaker factory in '57!

Also, turquoise overspray should be seen at the base of the black ignition distributor body!

Hello Thank you for the answers.

Sorry, I mentioned the wrong thing. I did not mean the pulley of the blower itself. But I meant that one below: Click image for larger version

            Thank you again.

Hi Rudy, looks to be the crankshaft pulley you're looking to paint, correct?
Mine is painted same color as engine block, turquoise. Would make sense as that would be part of engine assembly before all the accessories and sheet metal bits were assembled. Just my guess?

Thank you all for the answers. I will paint it turquoise then. 57pack, yes it is the supercharger pulley which uses the supercharger belt.

                  Have a good week.
