Studebaker Cab Overs

Hi all, any board members have any Cab over trucks? I'm getting hooked into the idea of building a car hauler and have been thinking of looking for an old cabover.

The Studebaker 'Cab Forward' model was a steel body over wood frame type of construction. Very few survived their working lives.
But they do show up from time to time.
There is one for sale up in Oregon right now, and another in North Dakota (iirc).

The Oregon One was a very rough but pretty complete, as far as trucks go, and the ND one was pretty much the cab and front fenders only.

One thing to consider is the small nature of the cab.
There is not much room in there.

Very cool. It's almost a certanty that the 38 would need the cab stretched. The turqouise one is really nice.

The turquoise truck is not a factory original. It was made from a regular M series Studebaker truck.

Is it me, or does 4.5K seem a bit high for just the body work? Beat up body work at that!

The ad for the Oregon truck has expired.

What I'd love to do is mate the above cab with the El Dorado MH that I have. It'd look really neat! Certainly better than the 70's front that's currently on it.[xx(]
