  • Road trip for Mr. Biggs!

    Bob,

I was paging theough e-Bay and saw an ad for a 1919 Studebaker touring car. This is the extent of the text "Original unmolested 1919 Studebaker touring car." The pictures clearly show no tires on the rims, but what really caught my attention were the two planes in the background, possibly a bi plane behind the car and a 2 seater outside.

Mapquest shows that it is about 200 miles from you.

Eventually I want to get a Teens-Twenties touring car, just that type! But, knowing zilch about cars of that era, I'll buy one that's already drivable, maybe needs cosmetics...

A '19 Stude will fit my tow dolly, right...?

Looks like a cool place to visit alright! The seller's got a bunch of neat model airplane kits up as well as parts of vintage real planes.

And just LOOK at this! The precursor to Cadillac's Northstar engine! Who knew???

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
