  • Electrical: '51 & '52 Std. Trans Back-up light switch installation advice

Thanks to Dan Peterson, contacted through our wonderful forum, I now have all the parts listed in the chassis parts catalog for installation of a backup light switch on my manual (OD) transmission '52 (switch, bracket, support and retaining nuts.) However, the exploded parts diagram in the chassis book doesn't show how it goes together on the shift linkage under the hood and I can't find any illustration anywhere that does. Can anyone post a picture to show me how their backup light switch is installed? Many thanks!

Notice that when wired as original, the tail lights have to be on for the back up lights to work. You don't have to wire it that way. If it were mine I'd wire it to the ignition ACC switch.
