61 Hawk needs new home

61 hawk 4 speed I think 289 . Was in the paper today wants 800. for it Looks complete except for power brake & Hub caps. Here is a link to pictures. I'll let them speak for them selves.

I wonder how hard it would be to get a non-runner shipped to NY?

Price is right, and I've wanted a 60 or 61 Hawk for my collection...

Probably too tricky to ask the seller- a stranger- to help another stranger load a non-running car onto a transport...

I could help make that happen. He just wants to save it. He bought it from a widow that had it sitting out under a tree for the past 15 years or so. She was gonna call one of those scrap metal places to come and get it. So he is a Studebaker friend. That's why I went to look at it and took pictures. Thought I would help him get it to a new home to have a chance on getting back on the road.

Anne, any idea what the floors are like- and if it has any of that famous CA roof rust?

Might be time to price shipping... anyone recommend an inop vehicle shipper?

Passenger side front is rusted through. Battery box is almost disolved. Rear floor panels felt solid according to my husband he was knocking on them. Trunk had surface rust in spots. Bottom of trunk lid has bubbles. Rust on bottoms fenders and behind the doors. All glas was there. BB hole in front windshield. He said another windshield was in the front seat. Brake booster according to him was somewhere at the widows house. The man had it rebuilt before he died and its in a box somewhere. Has new aframe bushings that were in the trunk. Jack is in it too. Hopefully you can zoom in on some of the pictures to see.
