A busy and Christmasy scene at the Studebaker Administration Building obviously around yule time in the year ____. Your task, if you choose to accept it, is to tell what year the photo was taken? Strong clues in the image.

    Dick,
I'll try my luck at 1927.

I will also say 1926. The Erskine was introduced in October of that year, and production got underway in January, 1927.

I agree with 1926. Of course the Erskine intro signs on the building are the dead give away.
Richard always seems to come up with terrific photos. Thanks.

You did not put your answer in the correct form but yes, it is 1929. Studebaker introduced their economy Erskine Six around Christmas 1926 but it was nicknamed the "Little Aristocrat" then. The slogan "Dynamic New Erskine" was not used until the 1930 model year. These were the model 53s with all new larger bodies and the Studebaker built engines (replacing the Continental). Production on the model 53 began in late November 1929. Interestingly by May of '30 they dropped the Erskine car name and renamed it the Studebaker Six. Must have been a blow to Mr. Erskine's ego! So much for "Dynamic!" Oh, and by the way the large car at left is a '29 so that is another clue that it could not be any earlier.
