    The newest Society of Automotive Historians Journal has continuing Bonneville History coverage. Nice Studebaker mention here:



    That's an interesting '55 up front. Not only do we rarely see '55 C/K Studebakers at Bonneville, but certainly without those three heavy die-cast grill parts up front!

    Don't forget: If the text appears too small to read on your monitor, place your cursor anywhere on top of the photo. Then press CTRL and + at the same time and it will enlarge the page so you can read it. Don't forget to press CTRL and - at the same time to reduce the page to the original size when you are done, or everything will be large from there on out and not fit your screen! BP

      True, Ed; it is amazing how many of the cars survive...and, fortunately, we have documentation to know which ones they are when they surface. BP

        Until that time, we must admit we are good educated guessers; probably because so few were made. By narrow-scoping the vehicle's equipment, color, and destination from the build sheet, we can almost determine the car. The Whistler comes to mind when we speculated the equipment and destination, and did come up with the correct serial/body/engine number in the end, when it was finally located.
