Most of the 2R trucks have a contrasting color on part of the grille. Is that a fiberglass insert or is it painted? Thanks.

Since Stude built 266,662 2R series trucks over their 5.5-year run, I'm sure the grilles were masked off. During the first couple of years of 2R production, the truck plant was running with three shifts a day.Skip LackieComment

I think the grills were painted the off white first then I bet there was some kind of appliance to cover the white so the body color could be applied.sigpic
