A NOS set sold for 5K a year or two back and I'd pay 3K if the were not so wide. I've been waiting for the repro's for 2 years.

I don't think that price is out of line considering what those wheels are. Maybe I'm out of touch, but those are rare wheels.

If I had the right car I'd want those pretty bad.

Beautiful wheels, but....9" wide and no clearance problems? I wonder what the backspacing is?

Yep, Dick you thought that clearance was little strange too. I would be intersted to see how 9" wide wheels/tires fit without scraping at some point.

6" I can see, 7" with just the right offset, I can't see 8" or 9"... would really like to know more. I've got 7" all the way around on my '55 and I could go wider in the rear with more backspacing but really can't see how to go wider in the front. The sidewall of the tire will hit the tie rod if you go more than about 4-1/4" backspace, and even if you worked around that you'll rub the inner fender at full lock. Maybe he was running the "quick steer" arms and just didn't make tight turns? (anyone tried this? Are they short enough that the tie rod tucks inside the rim?)

Those are, however, completely (expletive deleted) cool and I think they'd look great on any C-K, Lark or Avanti (assuming they'd fit.)
