How do I determine the difference between NOS and reproduction sill plates?

With the quality of the newest reproductions I would guess the only way to tell is the NOS don't look as new.

As implied by Rockne10, it depends on which reproductions you are comparing NOS with. The earlier reproductions, a couple of iterations, did not have the proper curve and had printed, not embossed, "dots". The latest reproductions are faithful to originals/NOS.

When I sold my last NOS one, UPS destroyed it on the way to the new owner.

I used the S.I. repops and they look pretty close. Like Gary and Brad suggest, better than NOS.
