  • '37 Coupe Express model

I got a Danbury Mint catalog in the mail yesterday and what should be featured prominently on the back cover but this gorgeous piece of art:

Looks mighty familiar (except for the artillery wheels)... now if I could just place where I've seen it before?! [8D]

DM issued this, with white walls and a different door mirror arm, in red, about 5 years ago.

            Thanks....
            But.....
Didn't they (Danbury Mint) tout the fact that they destroyed the mold when they sold the red J5 years ago?

I don't think they ever break the mold. They sell till sales slow down then sit on it for a time and reisue it in a new color.

Glad I got the red one on the first issue. It wasn't as expensive.

"Obsolete" is a highly subjective term.

I checked my old catalogs........ "retired"is the word used, as it was on the Gold 57 Hawk. However some models are "limted to 5000 pcs.
