  • Is this emblem Studebaker?

I've seen this emblem a couple times on ebay. Never seen it on a car. Is this really a Studebaker Lark emblem? What year?Click image for larger version

Yes. That is the Lark emblem. I'm sure some of the Lark owners on this forum will be able to tell you just where you might normally find this emblem on the car.

Believe it was on the C-pillar on some '61 Larks...

As 62champ says, it was found on the '61 Lark four door sedan, specifically the Regal model. I have seen it listed for a non existant two door sedan Regal, F6, in at least one parts book.

That is correct, this was ONLY used on the Top of the line '61 Lark Regal 4 Door Sedan, that's IT!

Not even on the higher trim level Lark Cruiser 4 Door.

I purchased two new of these emblems at Frost & French on one of my early trips to the U.S back in the mid seventies.

                '61 Regal 4 Door Emblems

OK, that makes 6 of these rare really neat Lark Emblems being horded with no car to put them on, including my 2, same reason, I just like them. Maybe I'll put 'em on my '61 Cruiser.

They would also make a Nice Grill Emblem for any Lark.

All three of us are SOooo Bad!

James, either myself or Bob Moss sold you those Emblems!

                  8. I am debating about putting a set on my '61 Deluxe Two door. Too bad they didn't use them on a few more models. A real touch of class!

Check out the back cover of the Sept. 2013 Turning Wheels.
I noticed the emblem on the cover car and was wondering what it was.

It's funny, I bought one because I liked it, even though I wasn't sure it was Studebaker. Never seen one before. I have a '61 Lark hardtop.

We turned the 1958 Ford, that my FiL bought new, in on a 1961 Lark VIII Regal four door sedan (259 V8, AT). The Studebaker dealer liked the late model Ford because he got a lot of service calls on it. Our Lark had those very nice C-pillar emblems. I have owned three other 1961 Larks since then, but models without that emblem.
