  • Greetings all and I need shocks for a '39 CE

Hello Everyone: I'm a new poster, although not new to Studebakers or the Driver's Club. I'm very fortunate to have a 1939 Coupe Express, but it (and I) need some help. I sent the front shocks out for rebuild, and they were, in the words of the vendor, filled with "dust and rust"-not re-buildable. So, I'm looking for NOS or excellent used units. If I've used the parts catalog correctly, they would be 521779(r) and 521780(l). Can anyone help?

If you have not already, you should call Studebaker International, they don't list what you need but they may know where to find the shocks.

Also, some folks on this board have experience with CEs - like Mimi Hallgren or Jeff Rice. Maybe they could point you in the right direction!

I have one nos rotary shock I will sell reasonably and two that are not seized and presumably are rebuildable. I'll sell them reasonably too.
