In my Truck Parts Catalog, Studebaker 7E-8E Series, January 1963: Plate 17-1, p.385. Illustration number 1701-3, PN#1692905, GRILLE, instruments mounting plate--are any available? The left and right are different, of course.

There will be someone around here that will have some, for me I would have to look. It has been 30 years since I took mine apart and modified the housings for more gauges, so I put them in boxes. If SI or others don't come up with some, I could dig.

Anyone with a 3D printer? This would be a good one to reproduce since age causes them to become really brittle. Another item would be the G.T. Hawk fender spears since the repro's go yellow in a few months. Remaking those in a plastic that is U.V. resistant would be great. I put a repro on my 63 on one side & it yellowed in 6 months while the original is still clear as a bell.59 Lark wagon, now V-8, H.D. auto!

I tried SI, StudeParts, etc. Called a man in St. Louis whose family owned a dealership (he has a field out of town with Larks, etc.). I've been searching for about a year. If you would look, I'd really appreciate it. Glad to pay you for your time. I've been working on this project since 2007. A great deal of time is spent chasing down parts for this truck. Seems it's not a popular re-build. I took this one down to the frame. I was working with a friend of mine on the sheet metal (cab, fenders, hood, bumpers, etc.). He was keeping some of these in his commercial garage for me. He died last January. His son took the parts and refuses to return them unless I pay for them. I have receipts for everything. Have an Oct. 8 court date to try to recover these parts.

Also, does anyone know of a place where I can get a new glass for the TEMP-AMP-OIL-FUEL guage (Truck Parts Catalog, Studebaker 7E-8E Series, January 1963: Plate 17-1, p.385).
I'm new to the forum and have had some very good advice on finishing my Champ Pickup 8E5. You have no idea how much I appreciate you folks.

The Instrument Panel background panel you seek is the same as the non-chromed 1960 Lark Deluxe trim Cars.
Also the best way to get a good glass for the Gauge Cluster is to buy the whole Case, Gauges, Bezel and Glass Used, from a '59-'60 Lark or Champ Truck at a Studebaker Zone Meet or International Meet Swap Meet or do a wanted Ad in the Studebaker Swap Page on-line.
OH! By the way Welcome to SDC and to the SDC Forum!

RS; I found the 2 instrument panels and gauges. There is no overlay on the drivers side with the speedo and 4 gauge of O,A,Fuel and Temp. On the Right side panel there is a expanded wire plate that covers the speaker hole. If you want I could put up a pic.

Alan, the expanded wire speaker Grille is a '59 Lark, because the Clock hole is in the center I don't think it could be cut to use as a Instrument plate.
I have heard people here say those are actually PLASTIC, but I would have to try a magnet before I would believe that.StudeRich

Yes, Rich, I have taken a few T cabs apart for pieces to build one. But instead of using the stock gauge bezels I made my own and had them chromed. So after 35 or so years and a box full of parts, who knows where or what they came off of.

The left side looks like my set-up. The right side in my truck had no gauges, just a metal insert where a clock could have been installed, but wasn't (the truck was originally built for the Dayton, Ohio City Motor Pool).
