  • Studebaker Pin/Button

I recently acquired a pin back button that I would like to learn more about. I know next to nothing about items in this field.

I do not have a way to post a picture or give an accurate measurement. I think that a good description may be better.

    GENERAL:
It is a pin back button.
    It shows some age.
It is a shade larger than a nickel (US currency).

    FRONT:
    beige/cream color background
red spoke wheel near the size of the button
    gold "Studebaker" script across it

    BACK:
    "Bastian Bros. Co."
"mfrs. of ribbon metal and celluloid novelties"
    "Rochester, N.Y."

    I was wondering:
    vintage?/year?
    issued/used for?
    any other information?
    approx. current value?

    Thanks!

Bastian Bros made lots of different designs for Studebaker as did other button makers. Simply an inexpensive give-away. The one above distributed during the horse drawn era likely in the teens. Others shown below. I have quite a few more.

Thanks, Richard. I figured that you would be familiar with it. It is just like the individual one on your finger.
What would one sell for these days?

They are one of the more common pins and appear on Ebay with some regularity. Would not expect much over $6.00 - $8.00.

Thanks. It was sent to me by a lady that knows that I am interested in Studebakers. I didn't know how much I "owe" her.
