  • The buy of the day?

I don't know the car, but from the pictures, I'd call this the buy of the day.

Yes I saw that in this Post: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...f-CL-prospects

And it's a Great Deal for SOMEONE.

But thee Ol' "different strokes" thing comes into play again, or: "I had to ignore it because it is a '62'!"

      StudeRich's Rule Number ONE: '63 Larks/Hawks OK, '64's Better, '62's NO!
To me they are like '55's, after having owned them ALL, I just have to put them in the "no thanks" category.

Style is something that either floats your Boat, or it does NOT.

Hmmmmm, mechanic recommends the engine being rebuilt.....hmmmmmm, could be a good place to put a R-1 crate engine. It already has the torque converter set up for the automatic........

              1962 Daytona Lark Studebaker Convertible
              V-8 289 Auto, Power top.
              Original Owners Guide.
Stored for 5 years, not registered. Exterior and interior in great condition. Mechanic recommends possible engine rebuild. Will have towed to you within 100 miles. No power steering and brakes. Reduced price $5,500 Firm

It looked like a great buy for whoever got it. I even had the blessing from the "ball & chain" to get it. It wont be the last. Maybe a 64 will show up!

I saw that ad show up for that 62 Convertible and would have sailed down to buy it, but I just purchased a 36 Ferd Coupe. Dang Ferd got in my way of another convertible.
