  • Engine: Spark Plugs

So, in digging thru my supplies this weekend for new plugs for a 289, I found 4 sets of new plugs that I have no idea what they fit. Can anyone find out what Studes they fit. They are:Champion N9YC (might be for a model A),D-14(might be for a 41 Commander or 62 Champ),
    F11YC45resistor and Autolite 45 resistor.
I am reorganizing my parts by the car they go to versus all on one shelf.
    Thanks,
    John

All the YC's are Resister Plugs that Studebaker only used for Competition only use on Avanti Engines but none of these are the correct depth or heat range for a V8. The Autolite 45 may work in a V8, all the rest must be 6 Cyl. Plugs.

The Champion N9YC plugs are not used in any Studebakers that I know of. The Champion D14 plugs are not used in any Studebaker engines and the F11YC4 and the Autolite 45 are plugs for Fords and maybe some Chrysler engines. The YC on the Champion plugs stands for a projected insulator plug with a copper core. The R in front of the plug number like RH18Y or R45 means a resistor plug for both Champion and AC. Bud
