for a cadilliac or studebaker

Assuming this was originally intended for a Caddy.........have the modifications been made to fit the manifold to a Studebaker V8?

Joe,

What is the skinny on the manifold? Exactly what is it and is it really for sale? I am into intake stuff but I hate to hold floating funds for a possible purchase and because it never comes up for sale for real I pass up some other sure thing. Let me know.

I thought the OP posted here recently it was sold. Now that post is gone, and so is a response to it.

It was like this one i believe but with 3 carbs. I have one like it that is going on my '57 Broadmoor.

Cool intake, too bad it's a Cad version.

The one Dan posted appears its a re-pop and available at "Vintage Speed" from Charlie Price. Its $350.00, so with some carbs it may be a good deal, depending on the carbs. The tease was "3" carbs, instantly you assume tri-power, or at least I did, :). An aluminum Caddy tri-power is an easy modification in aluminum compared to cast iron. Offenhauser and Weiand both made the tri-power Caddy in a high rise but only a 2 x 2 for the Stude by Offenhauser I believe.

Is the manifold for sale a 3 x 2 or a 2 x 2?

If anyone out there has a Caddy Weiand or Offenhauser 3 x 2 manifold that they want to part with let me know. Let me know if you even have one as I want some dimensions from it.

Do you want the dimensions from a Smoljan 3 deuce intake?

Phil Harris has my Cad Offenhauser 3x2 right now. When I get it back I would be glad to provide dimensions. As noted the 3x2 is exactly like the 2x2 Cad hi-rise, but with a center carb. Not sure why Charlie is not doing the 3x2 as there is more interest in that I would think than a 2x2.

This post was an error on my part except for my question below . Sorry .

Wonder if he could do versions with the head flange sides to Stude dimensions?

That is 3 "bolt" carb, like Holley 94s and Strombergs, not a 3 x 2 manifold. The pic is for a 4 bolt like an 2bbl Rochester.

He does sell this adapter, although I have my doubts how well it works regardless of the description that says otherwise.

This is one cool part. Features computer designed chambers for balanced equal flow. Cast alum and precison machined. We can drill to fit the Holley or Carter AFB 4 barrel pattern. It will also bolt on the spread bore Q-jet intakes and cover the ports. (part picture shows the Holley pattern) Will fit nearly all intakes, both factory and aftermarket. Now you can put three twos on all the hot rod motors both vintage and new. Low profile –only about 2? high and 13 1/2? long by 4? wide at the carb pads. Can be used with the small base roch 2g or the 3 bolt holleys ecgs. 5 1/2? center to center carb spacing so all our progressive linkage and fuel line kits fit perfectly. This plate can also be trimmed and welded to your 4 barrel alum intake-for a one piece look . Order yours today–In stock. $159.00

Shifter4,

It says he can do a 3-bolt pattern on the carbs, not three carbs. I about pee'd my pants when I saw your post. As soon as Charlie started marketing the 2 x 2's I emailed a request for the 3 x 2 a couple of times an never got a response. I have bought a ton of stuff from Chas with good results but have never been able to talk to him on the phone. I would like to know if he is dealing direct with Offenhauser or if he is a 2nd party distributor. The whole Offenhauser company history is a complicated deal and there is no way to call the "Offenhauser" factory.
