Look what I just won on eBay - an upside down 1948 (or is it '47?) hood ornament! I know it's pitted, but these things don't come along all that often, and I'll probably fill in the pits, paint it pseudo-chrome (plus the other colors that belong) and make it into a door knocker for my front door (my last name begins with "S").
