  • An update on the restoration of the 1947 Studebaker Champion 4 Door

I went over for a visit with the yellow 47 last night and the fellow doing all the body work on it. It is coming along. I thought I might share a few pictures of it. It is running so quiet now you can hardly hear it run with the new stainless exhaust on it from Silvertone. It may be on the road as early as this fall. I have a rh front door on the way from Tennessee from Jefscoupe which will complete the replacement of all the doors. The Drivers side door and trunk is from a Landcruiser I bought in 1984 in Mansfield Ohio that changed hands twice after I bought it an is now a parts car local to me. Coming along quite well to my satisfaction.

Thanks Neil. Second Studebaker it will be to keep company with my Avanti and 8 Cockshutt tractors - 3 of which are of Loewy design also!
