  • Strange -48 in France...

I'm not good with computers so you have to look for your selves...
Go in on "leboncoin.fr" & click on any region so you'll come in & then write "Studebaker" in the 1:st square & click on "Voitures" in the next & "Toute la France" in the 3'rd.
Then scroll down to the lowest ad... to me at least the grill looks like a -47 but that's only the begining!
    Engine...
    Dashboard...
    What ? ? ?

I would be quite happy to get that one on the road just as it is!!!

Hang on...photos of two different cars have been mixed up.

There is a 1947 Champion to begin with, then a 1953 Commander hardtop, followed by more of the Champion.

        Chris.

It took me a moment to realize that you are right. The pictures are of two different cars.

The Engine and Interior Pics are from a '53 K Model Hardtop.
All the exterior Pics are of the '47 Champion 4 Door, not much of a prize.

The top mounted Fuel Pump and 6 Volt Battery Say: '51 to '54 Engine, the 4 Bolt Valve Covers say: '51 to early 1960.
I'll bite, where did you get the '53-'58?
Maybe just the '53-'58 easily changed, Rear facing top Carb. and Air Cleaner?

I guess I was just to baffeled to look good enough... I thought "how can a -53 dashboard fit so good & who did made the doorpanels?", didn't even look at the windscreen... or the steeringwheel in the -47.
Pity it wasn't the way I thought at first sight...
