  • Anyone own a 63-64 convertible with original top?

I am looking for someone to give me info on the pads on an original 63-64 convertible top. Are they cloth or vinyl where you see them in under the top?
    Thanks

There is one low mile 1964 Strato Blue Daytona Convertible currently at a dealer with a claim of still having the original top. Maybe they could check it for you. Mine may also still have the original top but I am out of town few days and thus unable to send you some pics today.

The one for sale at a dealer with lots of pics here:

That's a a sweet car. Are those the Canadian wheelcovers? I was thinking there was more black on a '64 wheelcover than that.

Good point. I have a 62 Impala convertible that still has the original top. Although it has been garaged all its life, it was driven to work and parked outside during the day for a number of years. The nylon top has shrunk to the point that it no longer covers the tops of the side windows very well, and it cannot be reattached to the windshield header unless it has been parked in the sun on a summer day for an hour or so.

My '63 Convertible has worn out black cloth padding on the inside. I have no idea whether it is original or not.
