Bob very kindly delivered the 1949 I bought from here today. It was like Christmas and my birthday all at once. It is a "kit" car but my son and I are going to work on it together. I have decided to do a resto-mod. I want to keep the car mostly stock, but add disc brakes, tinted windows and a 12 volt conversion. Here is the basic information I currently have.
Serial # is 16A-C5 1203
Engine block in the car ( no head) - Serial #H335616
Extra engine (came free with the car !) -Serial #H361173
I also have a transmission, reported to be an overdrive.
The car is reasonably complete and the sheet metal is very straight. I will need to install an entire interior. The single bench seat in the car is not original. So I will need to locate front and rear seats. Ill post pictures over the next day or two as I assess the car and what I will need for a frame up resto-mod. I have all three manuals and my wife is diligently reading them so that she can oversee my work. This won't be a quick project but it should be fun !
