  • "Carlene" ready for 2014

I don't name my cars, but my wife names "hers". New oil & filter, brake fluid checked, all other fluids topped off. Top down. In time for Mother's Day, my wife has been informed "Carlene" is ready.

Sweet! Just nothing like a cool convertible on a Sunday afternoon. Don't forget the sunscreen.

Does the CAR "LEAN" when you go around a curve?

Some of my cars earn a name, some don't. The 63 GT is Sweet Magnolia, and the 57 Silverhawk is the Shadow. Because of their color.
I have a Red 58 truck named Fred. I bought it from Stephen Cade who was using it to haul trash. Someone had wrighten "Sanford & Son" on the door with tape. I didn't like that so I took it off,but called the truck Fred anyhow. It stuck!

Who knows where she comes up with the names? If she doesn't name a car, she doesn't like it. That's all I know after 24 years of marriage. She has named her daily driver "Fannie". That means she likes it.
