The first I have ever seen were 1955 and they were discontinued in 1959, and returned only on '63-'64 Avanti for Regular Production, non VIP special orders.

Mid-1955 option and offered thru the 1958 model year, and on the Avanti.

But they were reportedly experimenting with them before the war. http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...ght=1942+power

And Studebaker with its "Special Orders Don't Upset Us" policy did see at least two Lark/Lark types with them. http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...ighlight=rabbi

I believe they were a listed option for '53 but have never heard of any so equipped.

Studebaker started offering them in the middle of the 1955 model year:

On K bodies they were only on the font windows. The 1/4 windows were still crank. My 56 Golden Hawk had them as well as power seat.

One could order them for just the front doors only on four door models. There was a '58 President on Ebay a couple of years ago which only had them on the front and not the rear.

The 1958 J-body was the only 2 door model which could be ordered with all four power windows.

198 were equipped with them according to RQ's Speedster article in October, 1998 Collectible Automobile.

No, it was still an option.

And there were 1958 J body cars with either the door windows or all four windows powered. But the unique rear glass mechanisms of K bodied cars made it impossible for them to have powered rear glasses.

My '57 Packard wagon has power windows on all four. I think it was Hal Hermann that told me most that had power windows only had them on the front.

A local friend and Hudson Valley Chapter member owned three 1955 Speedsters at the same time. Two of them had power windows.
My 1957 Golden Hawk had power windows. My 1963 Daytona Wagonaire had a power rear window.
I have a lot of 1953 literature and do not recall seeing power windows mentioned anywhere in it.
