I have the original contract signed only 12 days before the plane crash where Rockne agreed with the Studebaker Corporation to be their Manager of Sales Promotion for the fee of $10,000 per year. Besides the signature of Knute K Rockne the document carries the signature of Paul Hoffman, Vice President of the Corporation at the time.
I also have the original contract drawn up less than 6 weeks later between Rockne's wife, Bonnie Rockne & Studebaker where she was to receive up to $10,000 per year for Rockne badged cars made by Studebaker calculated at .25 cents per badged Rockne car. This carries the signatures of Mrs Bonnie Rockne, Albert Erskine & Paul Hoffman.
