While those bumpers look like they were made for that '39 Champion they certainly were not! Anyone know what they originally came on? I do. Incidentally nothing changes the overall look of a car more than adding fender skirts. Some like them, some don't. In any event easy to remove if you get tired of them! I just bought a pair off ebay for my '40 President Club Sedan.

DeSoto bumper? They are close to the aftermarket "Brizz" bumpers used by hot rodders.

Bumpers....1949 Plymouth. Back in the '60's they were favorites for the hot rodders. I had a frumpy four door 49 Plymouth Deluxe sedan. Great elegant little car. Had to keep watch for what we used to call the "customizers" wanting to make a sticky finger acquisition in the middle of the night.

On this particular car, especially since bumper guards are used...the bumper looks very much at home.

49 Plymouth front bumper. My second car was a 50 Plymouth..... first was a 37 Pontiac.

I'll also have to add that the bumper looks much better on the Studebaker than any of the 1949 vehicles of its manufacturer.
