  • Studebaker armoire

Any southeastern U.S. Studebaker collectors who want to be really completist about Studebakerana? No, they didn't make furniture, but this item was supposedly made for them:

"Art Nouveau Armoire from the Studebaker Mansion, South Bend, IN - $1100

"...an amazing Art Nouveau armoire, custom made for the Studebaker family of South Bend, IN. The handwork, beautifully grained solid oak wood, and classic art nouveau lines make this a one-of-a-kind piece. Be sure to notice the matching sideboard, which is also available.

"The dimensions for this armoire are approximately 80" tall, 66" wide at the top bonnet x 18 1/2" deep x 54" wide. Each of the doors measure 19" wide, with the mirrors measuring 14 1/2" wide. The two bottom drawers measure 25 1/2" wide x 12" tall x 17.5" deep. ...

Magnificent workmanship. Too big for many houses, but a fine piece. I love fine wood furniture, but can't afford it.

Yep...I had my eye on this one. However, after making some measurements...no compatible wall space that would work for us.
