Harold R. "Cap" Johnson Jr., former Studebaker Engineer, passed away a little over a year ago, at age 100.

Many of you will remember his several appearances in Turning Wheels over the years, and our successful campaign to shower him with 100+ Birthday Cards and greetings on his 100th Birthday just a few months before he passed away.

I got a notice this morning (Saturday, January 25, 2014) that they were about to close his Legacy Guest Book at the end of this month, so thought I'd post it for anyone interested:

"Peg" is Harold's daughter in Bloomington IN, who looked after him even though he was able to live independently. Tim Lloyd, of course, is our SDC member in Bloomington who attended church with "Cap" and supervised all the birthday cards SDCers sent for Harold's "Big 100." Harold's nickname "Cap" is short for Captain, from his military service.

'Difficult to believe it has been over a year. :( I'll bet "Cap" and the Studebaker V8's primary engineer, Stanwood Sparrow, are all caught up by now. :D BP
