My neighbor went to Fontana Raceway got driving lessons from an instructor and went around the track by himself, in excess of 150. Cost several hundred, if I remember correctly. He was stoked. Interesting because he was on Kurt Busch (?) pit crew when he raced in NASCAR West series.

There has to be great tracks in the Georgia area to check out.

Here is a link to a YouTube vid of my brother's laps at Talladega last year .
The inset makes it neat. He had one lap at a little over 178 .

For the event on Thursday you are only a passenger. The actual "Ride & Drive" takes much longer, and they couldn't handle the volume of people signing up for the event. Monster Racing is considering opening up the "Ride & Drive" on Saturday July 5th for the general public. This is where YOU drive the NASCAR. This event is somewhere around $350 per person. Visit their website for more information on the "Ride & Drive Experience".
