RIP. Mr Granatelli lived a looooong life--------------------------------------
Sold my 1962; Studeless at the moment
Borrowed Bams50's sigline here:
"Do they all not, by mere virtue of having survived as relics of a bygone era, amass a level of respect perhaps not accorded to them when they were new?"

This is going to be very hard news to break to my dad. We were planning to have lunch with Andy next month. He will forever remember the man who bought him his 1957 Golden Hawk. Andy was always bigger than life to me when I was a kid visiting his shop with my dad. Sad day in Studebaker land. RIP and the racers in heaven will be shaking in their boots now that Andy is there.

Andy was a true visionary in the field. He loved a challenge and had an intuitive way of cutting through the static to find the answer to a problem. He believed that "everything is basic". Get to the basics and the solution will be found.Poet...Mystic...Soldier of Fortune. As always...self-absorbed, adversarial, cocky and in general a malcontent.
