    Ok guys and gals. Here is how to tame the monstrous beast of a Champ 6 engine when it breaks an engine mount.



    Temporary, of course.

        Don'y worry Leonard, the chain's wrapped though the hole in the frame. No pressure on that line what-so-ever. I made sure of that.

            Matthew, Just go get a new motor mount off the shelf and fix it rtght. Then put the chain on it. NT

                Thought about that, but thought I'd change the front one when the new rear one comes in from SASCO. Ordered it Monday. Didn't want to risk breaking a new one until I had the rear replaced. The chain should hold it until then. [)]

                        I don't think that the origin for this is Southern Georgia Engineering, though. This is a standard destruction derby preparation procedure from waaaayy back ... and it does in fact work.

                        And the brake line wasn't a concern for a derby, as the prefered way of stopping was backing into the competition! Here, you need to safeguard the brake line ...
